Twisted Yarns

Twisted DTY is a type of textured yarn that is produced by twisting DTY yarn to bind the filaments and improve evenness. This process creates a yarn with improved strength, bulk, and texture, making it suitable for a wide range of textile applications. Twisted DTY can be made from various synthetic fibers, such as polyester or nylon, and can be further processed into fabrics or garments through knitting, weaving, or other textile techniques. The level of twist can vary depending on the desired characteristics of the yarn, such as the level of bulk or softness required.

Twisted DTY is often used in apparel, home textiles, and industrial fabrics due to its excellent elasticity, moisture-wicking properties, and durability. We can offer S Twist or Z Twist yarns depending on the customer’s requirement.

Twisted Yarns can also be supplied on a soft package on a 170 mm or 230 mm Plastic Perforated tube to be used directly in the dyeing process. These yarns can be supplied with Shrink Wrap Perforated films.

We are also offering twisted yarns with ‘Z’ Twist and high tenacity ( gpd > 4 + 0) that is specially suited for sewing thread applications. Our twisted yarns are appropriately heat set to remove residual shrinkage and snarling and improve run ability.

Polyester Texturised Yarn (PDTY)

Polyester Draw Texturised yarn (DTY) is fully drawn multifilament yarn with soft crimp, high bulk and texture. This yarn has high durability and retention properties with low moisture content and is manufactured by texturising (POY) Partially Oriented Yarn.

DTY yarn is used in weaving and knitting of fabrics for making clothes, home furnishing, seat covers, bags and industrial fabrics. DTY can be obtained in Semi-dull, Full-dull, Catonic and Bright variations depending upon the type of POY and the filaments.

We can make polyester DTY in Single Heater and Double heater with S and Z twist as well.

It can be moulded in different ways to make it suitable for various uses. It can be non-intermingle (NIM), low or soft intermingle (LIM)/(SIM) and high intermingle (HIM) or can be twisted for different specific uses.

We also offer a variety of mélange yarns, using different combinations of colors and lusters that find applications in sportswear fabric and home décor.

Twisted Polyester Yarn (TPY)

From 80 TPM to 1000 TPM with snarl free yarns.

The continuous filament yarn also requires a small amount of twist in order to avoid the fraying of filaments and to increase abrasion resistance. However, twisting the continuous filament yarn reduces the strength of the yarn. Yarn is often ply-twisted in a direction opposite to a single yarn twist to improve evenness, strength, elongation, bulkiness, luster and abrasion resistance, and to reduce twist liveliness, hairiness and variation in strength.

Twisted yarn can be made of two, three, four, or more plies, or may be used as singles without plying.

Drawn Textured Yarn (DTY)

Drawn Textured Yarn (DTY) yarn is obtained when Polyester POY is simultaneously twisted & drawn. DTY yarn is mainly used in weaving & knitting of fabrics for making clothes, home furnishings, seat covers, bags and many other uses. DTY yarn can be in Semi Dull or Full Dull or Bright or Trilobal Bright depending upon the type of sections of filaments.

Technical Properties of DTY yarn can be molded in several ways to make the yarn suitable for its vast uses. DTY yarn can be made with several combinations of Intermingle points – it can be Non-Intermingle (NIM) having 0 – 10 knots/meter or Semi-Intermingle (SIM) having 40 – 50 knots/meter or High-Intermingle (HIM) having 120 – 140 knots/meter. These knots are not actually the knots tied when two threads are broken but they are the tangle knots created by heating pressure. These Intermingle yarns, also known as interlaced yarn, are the replacement for lightly twisted yarns .Such twisted yarn can also be heat-set to make the yarn permanently thermo-set the twist.

Cationic DTY is another variant of Polyester DTY that is mainly used in blankets. Cationic DTY is made from Cationic PET Chips.
